Monique just lost her husband. Helpless, she leaves her home in Baie-Comeau to visit her son and daughter who live in Montreal, but her children receive her without heat. Only Sylvie, the lover of her youngest son who died fifteen years ago, welcomes her with solicitude. Not knowing where to go, Monique decides to push to the small town of Northeastern Ontario where she was born. But nothing remains of his childhood or his family. On the way back, she will regain a taste for life and return home, on the North Shore, to live in thought close to the man she loved.
